Beautary Lash Bar: Brand Launch & Client Experience Design
For Beautary Lash Bar’s grand opening, I translated the salon’s visual identity into a cohesive collection of branded customer and team touchpoints. The project extended beyond a single product and included custom apparel, drinkware, accessories, stationery, packaging, and an interactive book-swap display.
My goal was to create pieces that felt polished, distinctive, and consistent with Beautary’s feminine, elevated personality. I carried the same colors, typography, imagery, and decorative elements across each item while adapting the designs for different materials, sizes, and production methods.
The final collection included 24 custom staff shirts, 30 branded tumblers, tote bags, keychains, stationary, and an acrylic “Beautary Book Swap” sign. I managed the project from concept development and design through production, quality control, packaging, and final delivery for the salon’s grand opening.

Labor Market & Career Trends Analysis
This project is a collaborative research report completed as part of my Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences capstone coursework. My team analyzed current labor market trends using data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to examine employment outlook, projected job growth, wages, and workforce demands.
My primary contributions included researching labor market data, analyizing employment trends, writing assigned sections of the report, collaborating with teammates to synthesize our findings, and assisting with editing and final formatting. This project srengthened my skills in research, data analysis, written communication, teamwork, and presenting complex information in a clear and organized manner.
This experience also reinforced the importance of using reliable data to support strategic decision-making, an essential skill for career in UX design, business analysis, marketing, and data analytics.

Desktop - Grocery Checklist
For my portfolio project, I adapted a mobile-first grocery store navigation app to the desktop, optimizing it for a larger screen while maintaining a seamless and intuitive user experience. One of the primary challenges was addressing the differences in size and functionality between mobile and desktop platforms. Mobile-first design often leads to issues like content being overly dispersed across long scrolling pages when viewed on a desktop. I had to rethink the layout and navigation to ensure it remained user-friendly and efficient.
In tackling these challenges, I focused on creating a responsive design that adjusted seamlessly to different screen sizes, while ensuring that users could easily browse products, create shopping lists, and plan their store route. This process taught me the importance of balancing functionality and aesthetics across platforms and has strengthened my ability to adapt designs to meet different user needs. I’m excited to continue learning and growing as I encounter new challenges in the design world.

For my portfolio project, I designed and developed an app aimed at enhancing the in-person shopping experience by helping users efficiently locate items in a grocery store and create a shopping list before they head in. The app's primary function is to provide a user-friendly interface that allows shoppers to easily search for products, create a shopping list, and navigate the store to find them.
During the initial research phase, I discovered that many potential users were bilingual, but they often struggled with asking for assistance in person, particularly when faced with language barriers. Based on this feedback, I recognized the need to include a translation feature within the app to ensure accessibility for all users. Providing an additional layer of convenience and helping to reduce any discomfort in communicating while shopping. Although this wasn't a primary requirement of the project, it was a valuable enhancement that aligned with the needs of users, improved the app's overall functionality, and a more inclusive shopping experience. This feature ensured the app could serve a broader range of shoppers, especially those who might feel hesitant or unable to ask for help directly in-store.

Medication Tracking Design Exploration and Showcase
This project focused on designing a user-friendly tool aimed at helping individuals take their medication on time. With many people struggling to remember their daily doses, the goal was to create a solution that not only alerts users but also motivates them to stay on track with their medication schedule.
AI Shopping Assistant UX Case Study
As part of my IBM Build Your Own Chatbot Professional Certificate, I designed and developed an AI-powered retail chatbot to improve the online shopping experience. The chatbot was created to help customers quickly locate products, answer common questions, compare options, and navigate a retailer's catalog through natural conversation.
The project began by identifying user needs and the most common reasons customers seek assistance while shopping online. From there, I mapped conversation flows, defined user intents and entities, and designed responses that guided users efficiently toward their goals while maintaining a conversational, user-friendly experience.
Throughout the project, I focused on user-centered design principles by anticipating customer questions, reducing friction in the shopping journey, and creating clear fallback responses when the chatbot could not fulfill a request. The final prototype demonstrated how conversational AI can improve customer engagement, streamline product discovery, and enhance the overall digital shopping experience.
